Holland: Two Days Are Never Enough!

It was already late at night when we arrived in Amsterdam. As suggested by the hostel, we left Schipol airport by bus 69 (fare Eur 2.90) and stopped at Plein 40-45. Hostel Slotania is just across the street of the bus stop. We still had time to buy some meals from a kebab shop just next to the hostel before it was closed.

So many things to do in Holland actually, but we only had 2 days to go around so we made them shortlisted to be only 4 destinations. Not a wise way to visit a country, but it wasnโ€™t my solo trip so I just went with the flow ๐Ÿ™‚

Denhaag And Volendam

Since it wasย Eid al-Fitr,ย on the first day in Holland we went to Indonesian Embassy because they held an open house. At least we could celebrate it with Indonesian foods, we thought. So we used the moment to explore the town during the visit.

We still could manage to go to Volendam in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset at pier. I didnโ€™t have chance to rent the costume in Volendam because the rental shops were already closed at the time we reached the area.

From Amsterdam to Denhaag: by train with return fare Eur 22.8
Bus to explore the town: Eur 11.5 in total
Bus to Volendam: Eur 10 (oneway)

Rotterdam and Kinderdijk

On second day, we spent several hours in Rotterdam and Kinderdijk. We really enjoyed a city tour in Rotterdam, the hop-on-hop-off classic trem was awesome.

To reach Kinderdijk from Rotterdam is not difficult, it takes only around 30 minutes by waterbus. The sky wasnโ€™t blue but we got the romantic vibes while we strolled around the windmills village.

After checking out, we left hostel to take Flixbus to Munich from Sloterdijk station.

Our route and expense details:

Fromย Amsterdam Sloterdijk Train Station to Rotterdam, we took train with fare around Eur 15.
Trem to go around the city: Eur 9
From Rotterdam to Kinderdijk: we took waterbus with fare Eur 4
Admission fee of Kinderdijk: Eur 7.5
From Rotterdam to Dordrecht: By bus with fare Eur 4
From Dordrecht to Amsterdam Roterdijk: By train with fare Eur 20.67

Hop on hop off trem is the perfect way to explore Rotterdam
